To contact us:
This is Leo Martin, Director of Martin Electrical School. I wanted to give you an update on what’s going on with classes.
First of all, I sincerely hope that all of you and your loved ones are healthy and safe.
It is our intention to resume classes as soon as we have permission to do so from the Governor of the Commonwealth and it is safe to do so.
As I am sure that you are aware both the President of the United States and the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have declared states of emergency which require all non-essential businesses to cease all operations that would have 10 or more persons congregating together. Martin Electrical School classes clearly fall into that category. Compliance with this directive is extremely important in order to try and control the spread of this dangerous virus. This directive is in effect until May 04, 2020. It is important to note that there is a very strong possibility that this end date will be moved forward. So, while I am hopeful we will be able to resume classes no later than early June, at this time, we are not really sure when we will be able to resume classes. I will keep you updated as new or additional information becomes available.
I know most of you have not been directly affected by the Covid 19 virus, but the threat is real. As I write this letter on April 10, 2020 there are 18,941 confirmed cases and 503 deaths in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
These numbers are outrageous!
We are diligently working on developing and adding on-line and web-based courses. This is something that we have been working on prior to the outbreak of this pandemic. But given the current state of affairs, this endeavor has become our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that all of our course offerings, whether on-line or in a classroom setting, include accurate and detailed material that is 100% in step with the current state of the electrical trade and industry. This process requires time to develop and put into an on-line computer-based learning platform.
All new and revised courses need to be approved by the Commonwealth prior to us being allowed to offer the courses to our students.
We are working to have these on-line courses available ASAP.
I do appreciate your patience and please know that we are doing everything we possibly can to be able to resume classes, both in the classroom and on-line.
I realize that many of you are not able to work under our current social distancing orders, myself included. I know that this has caused financial hardship. We will get through this!
I would like to ask all of you that are currently utilizing our tuition payment plan to please continue to make your monthly payment to the best of your ability. Even partial payments will be very much appreciated!
I look forward to seeing all of you in class in the very near future! Best of luck and please stay healthy and safe. Thank you.
Leo Martin, School Director
