Journeyman Electrician
This course is intended for the beginner who has no formal training in electrical theory or code. The course covers the different concepts relating to electrical theory and code and provides many practical examples of common tasks the electrician must perform. This course meets the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Examiners of Electricians requirement of the completion of 600 hours of approved education in order to be eligible to sit for the Journeyman Electricians licensing Exam. This four part course is offered with semesters beginning in September & January of each year in increments of 150 hours per course.
In addition, you must work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a minimum of 8000 hours to be completed in no less than 4 years.

The courses necessary to meet Journeyman Electrician requirements are offered September through May with the following schedule.
#301 Journeyman #1 (Monday 5 pm-10 pm) 150 hrs Course (75 per semester)
#302 Journeyman #2 (Tuesday 5 pm-10 pm) 150 hrs Course (75 per semester)
#303 Journeyman #3 (Wednesday 5 pm-10 pm) 150 hrs Course (75 per semester)
#304 Journeyman #4 (Thursday 5 pm-10 pm) 150 hrs Course (75 per semester)
We also offer a License Exam Preparation Course which provides a review of the Massachusetts Electrical Code as well as electrical theory. This course is intended to prepare the student to take the Journeyman Electricians License exam. It is a 10 week course offered September, January, March & June each year.
Exam Preparation (Monday & Wednesday 6 pm-10 pm) 60 hrs
All courses may be moved to an online or hybrid format dependent upon guidance from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
